Boiler Servicing
Manufacturers recommend that a boiler service is done once a year by a registered gas safe engineer. Without an annual boiler service, the warranty on a boiler can be invalidated. Like a car the boiler’s service record needs to be kept up to date. This is something manufacturers look for if there are issues with the boiler later in its life.
Our engineers will ensure that all the internal parts of your boiler are clean and that your boiler is working to maximum efficiency. All elements are checked and inspected, and any filters are cleaned during our visit.
Gas Safety Certificate is also known as a Gas Safety Check or, by its technical term: a CP12. The purpose is to make sure that all your gas appliances, such as your hob, gas fire and boiler are working correctly, efficiently, and safely. A Landlord’s Gas Safety Certificate is a legal requirement by the landlord for any tenanted property.
Whilst a Home Gas Safety Certificate is not yet a legal requirement for homeowners, we strongly recommend it for safety, and it is often required by insurance companies.
Underfloor Heating
In new refurbishments and new builds underfloor heating is often the first choice for a more balanced heating of the home. You can have control of specific floors and even rooms or zones. Everything can be pre-set with the latest smart controls. As technologies change underfloor heating can also be connected to and run by air source heat pumps. Although not suitable for all projects- where possible these are a very good green alternative as your primary heat source.
Smart Controls
As the government continues to hit its targets of lowering carbon emissions in the UK, smart controls have become a big part of that initiative. Boiler plus was bought in so new combi boiler installations with compliant controls could reach 98% efficiency in some cases. Other models like Tado, Nest, Hive either learn your movements through the location settings and connection to your phone or connect to the homes broadband and adjust the heating in the home in accordance with the weather conditions. You can also manually control all of these on your phone.
